Ladies - behold the miracle of ponte knit.
When I first saw my stores coming out with these ponte knit pieces, I was skeptical to say the least. Who wants to look frumpy at work in knitwear? I am not that old. But then I bought the leopard print ponte knit skirt ($50) from LB and fell in love. And then I saw the white dress ($70) I posted on the Facebook page and fell head over heels for it. I went to the Lane Bryant store near my house three times in one week to see if they had unpacked the most recent shipment and if the dress was in there.
And persistence does pay off - or being totally annoying does. Finally, the last time I went the Lane Bryant associate took me in the back room and pointed to a huge stack of boxes. "They sent us so much stuff, we haven't had a chance to open it all yet - these two racks are all we've been able to do." I scoured the rack and pulled out the black version of the white dress. "Well can I try on the black version?"
I tried it on, and it's like heaven. Literally the most comfortable dress I've ever worn. And I know it won't wrinkle because my skirt never has. So go grab you some ponte knit pieces for your fall wardrobe and feel like you're being rebellious in your pjs at work!
