Take Two

Angie mentioned she has a yellow Ed Hardy bag she got for free like my bag, and her problem with it is that the side of it "looks like a carnie's arm." So I had her send me a picture of it and I've constructed three summer outfits that wouldn't clash with her carnie arm candy.

Outfit 1: I love to pair items together that have a different look and feel. Since the bag has a rocker feel (or carnie for Angie) I've paired it with a super feminine top, a clean pencil skirt and metallic flats. The shoes bring in a sheen and even have some studs that give a similar rocker appeal, and the color in the blouse brings out the same tones as in the floral design.

Outfit 2: Throw this bag on like a messenger bag (the strap looks long enough) over a white, lace top and structured jeans for a dressed up casual look. The bohemian feel of this top will counter the rocker in the bag, and the simple white will let the bag be the statement piece. Dark, bootcut jeans go with everything and will bring some structure to the more floaty top.

Outfit 3: Don't be afraid to mix patterns! Just because the bag has a floral pattern doesn't mean you can't wear another pattern. The grays and white in this patterned top will compliment the florals in the bag. The distressed crops will tone down the femininity in the blouse, and the cobalt blue sandals will be easy to run around in for errands or to the local traveling carnival.
