Courtside Chic

This weekend we held the bridal shower for my soon-to-be sister-in-law at my grandmother's house. We had a great time snacking and chatting and gifting. It was here one of my aunts reminded me I hadn't answered her question on my blog yet. "Oh, were you serious?" I asked. "Yes!" She said.

Ok, so here it is! My oh-so talented and amazing baby cousin started her freshman year of college in a university back in my hometown. There she is kicking butt and taking names as a member of the volleyball team. *Proud cousin*

Dilema: Next Saturday, cousin has a volleyball game in the afternoon, and brother is getting married that evening. "Tell me what I can wear that will go from courtside to ceremony-side," said my aunt.

Solution: A simple dress and flats. (Please pardon the cruddy images from Macys.com. Follow the links to see a better image of the dresses.)

1. A simple wrap dress ($100) with a cap sleeve and flats ($78) won't make you stand out at the game as overdressed, and you'll be perfect for the wedding. Keep the accessories at a minimum with simple earrings ($10) and a drop necklace ($175) that accentuates the v-neck.
2. A printed faux wrap dress ($80) will show off your curves. Simple black flats ($75), a multi-strand necklace ($44) and hoops ($40) keep the look low key.
3. A simple, scarf dress ($60) can get a little boost with color, studded flats ($69). Keep it simple with a multistrand pearl necklace ($75) and pearl studs ($12).
