Buggin'

This week I was attacked. On the ankle. Yes.

Since we have fewer visitors in the marketing department than others at the office we are housed in the "Garden Level." A.k.a. the basement, dungeon, black hole. Although the building is still in great condition after 10 years of occupancy, we're still underground.

I was standing and chatting in the doorway of a coworker's office when I felt a tickle on my foot. I looked down, saw a cockroach, freaked out and proceeded to flick-kick it across the room directly at two of my seated coworkers. Screams. One practically jumped on the desk, the other was frozen. Oops. It was like I kicked in slow motion. It was an instantaneous reaction, and as soon as I started to flick my leg I realized what I was doing, but I couldn't stop myself. As a former 'star' child soccer player - well, I was a star player to my mom. I think I only ever made one goal - I've got a mean kick. Finally the unfrozen coworker grabbed her shoe and crushed the bug. And the crowds rejoiced.

This is one of a few bug attacks at work. Another involved spiders dropping like tiny ninjas from the duct above my desk, landing on my chest and proceeding to climb on me like a jungle gym.

Needless to say, I'll be requesting a visit from the exterminator soon.

In honor of my multi-legged friends, here are a few creepy, crawly accessories to adorn yourself with or carry that won't attack you or use you as a jungle gym.

Clutch, Brooch, Earrings, Bracelet, Bag.

  1. Interesting, I think I like the wing earrings. If you find men's cricket jewelry think of your dad.

  3. Aren't they cute? I always link the item to the spot you can find it online.
