Boots on a Budget

A coworker was lusting over a pair of leather pebbled Anthropologie boots this week. I think she even considered taking out a second mortgage on her house to acquire the $258 kicks. So we went in search of alternatives.

Boots for any budget:
Pebbled & Primped, Anthropologie Boots $258
Jockey Boots, Piperlime $135
Decree Megan Boot, JCPenney $60
Ruffle Boot, Urban Original $35
I think my coworker is going after the Megan boot, so here is one way you could wear them:
If you're going to wear them with jeans, it should be over a skinny jean. Pair it with a looser and more feminine top so you don't look like a motorcycle chick heading to a rally. Then top it off with colorful accessories that have interesting details. Necklace, earrings, bag, bracelet.

    I see... she needs to save money on the boots so she can buy the $100 earrings. I like them though, they're cute (the earrings, not the boots).
    I request that you find me a tall boot that is made for fat calves. Do those exist?

    Use the pieces as inspiration and find what works for you. There are boots for larger calves, you just have to know where to look. ;0) I'll post some options.
